Do you ever feel like you are super distracted in your business?

You’re going in a million different directions, doing this and that project, and hopping on this social media platform and that social media platform...

And not ever getting anything accomplished?

You're not actually getting sales or new team members, but you feel like you are working super hard?

I know the feeling, and it’s discouraging because you are working your tail off yet it feels like you're on a treadmill. 

Well the problem could be that you are not giving any one thing your undivided attention.

Give your FULL FOCUS
in ONE Direction

I look back at the things and projects I have been successful with and there is a common theme.

The common theme is that I had put my full focus on that one thing, exclusively,  for a specific and limited time period and I did not let my self become distracted by other projects and ideas.

This is where the big results come; when you are totally focused on one thing at a time.

Like the time I was just really going gangbusters building my business on blogs.

 I had tunnel vision and was fully focused on that one thing.   I was totally dedicated and immersed as  I was working through  a dozen different blogs a day and working with those influencers.

I was laser focused on that and it worked!

But this is easier said than done...

"Shiny object syndrome," is definitely a common plague for network marketers. 

I want to jump in, I can’t wait, I get excited. 

So I dive in...even when I might be in the middle of a project that I’m supposed to be focusing on and making progress on...

As a result, the work I'm supposed to be doing gets abandoned, because I go jump over and do something else.

So no progress has been made. 

It takes time and full focus on ONE thing to get results.

For example, I was going heavy into Instagram marketing, and I finally started getting results! 

And this was before I even fully implemented all the strategies I wanted to. 

I really wanted to work with influencers and there were a lot of other things I wanted to do with Instagram.

Leads were flowing in, and I was even getting some sales. I was having people interested in the business opportunity. 

I got people joining my Facebook group and subscribing to my newsletter so it was working .

But then...

I don’t know exactly what happened, but somewhere (probably a webinar or some ad I saw on Facebook) I saw the shiny object of Pinterest again.

And I’m like oooh, I really want to get back to Pinterest!

I saw Pinterest really working for others, and it didn't seem as time intensive as what I was currently doing.

So then I started getting excited and began watching all the trainings and doing all of the things for Pinterest. I resolved that I was really doing to dive into Pinterest!

And then meanwhile, I was supposed to be working on my newsletter, being more consistent with my emails...

So instead of being consistent with the emails and my other projects, those fell to the wayside.

How to overcome
shiny object syndrome

Now I'm very aware of how I’ve got to truly focus on this one thing and ignore all the rest.

I'm going to focus on getting one strategy working, and working well enough so I can teach it and have it duplicated.  

Are you guilty of the shiny object syndrome where you try this and try that and jump here and there but don’t ever really give one thing one method your full focus full attention for an extended period of time until you’ve mastered it?
